Reflections of the Moon

In Reflections of the Moon, the Langhe reveal themselves as pages of a story that changes with the seasons.

The daylight caresses the vineyards and hills, while the moon, a silent guardian, waits for sunset to cast its diamond glow over the landscape.

Each stroke captures the succession of the land, the shimmering light, and the sweet melody of the sky.

The work invites us to feel the continuity of time and nature in a harmony that transcends all boundaries.

Etching

The etching, an indirect engraving technique, derives its name from the Latin "aquafortis," referring to the acid used: nitric acid. Typically, etchings are numbered from 1 to 100, but I have chosen to create more limited editions to provide further value to the works.

Proces

Etching is a metal engraving technique used to create images. The process begins by covering a plate of copper or zinc with an acid-resistant varnish. The artist then engraves the design into the varnish, exposing the underlying metal.

The plate is then immersed in an acid bath, corrodes the exposed areas, creating the engravings. After rinsing, ink is applied to the plate, which is then pressed onto paper to transfer the image.
